We really did receive 14", and it not only stuck, but because of severe winds at 60 mph, we ended up with huge drifts! It made a local record for the most snowfall in a single day in the month of May ever! Luckily Scott's Dad, AKA "Bompi," flew in yesterday because the airport was closed. Everything was closed, base, schools, the freeway, doctor's offices (had to miss my appointment!), stores, everything was completely closed! Scott and Bompi were planning on going shooting today, so much for that! Instead it was wii games and barbies! The girls certainly didn't mind getting snowed in with their Bompi!
The drift in our front yard!
Our back yard!
It snowed until about 2 or 3 today and then the sun came out so they all went outside to play (and shovel!). Yes, that's our bedroom window wide open, I was napping and it gets way to hot upstairs! I didn't get a picture of it, but yes, Scott did still BBQ hamburgers for dinner, even in shorts and flip flops!
Believe it or not, Tuesday, only three days ago, it was 81 degrees and the girls were playing in the sprinklers!
