My church calling lately has been Relief Society Meeting Cordinator (I put together a monthly activity for the woman in our ward). March is always a Birthday Dinner. The girls helped make all the tissue paper flowers and my dear husband and the kids got to spend the day at the gym decorating with me :) Scott and I put up a heavy string all around to hang the stuff down from, but after hanging stuff on it, it started breaking here and then there. We gave up, took it all down, got my heaviest yarn from home and started over :) and ta da!
As the women came in they played a getting to know you Bingo autograph game and got a name tag with an assigned seat. We ate Cafe Rio salad or burritos and then played an M&M game at our table.
We then guessed at everyone's "Me in a bag" items. A game where each women brought a brown lunch sack of items that represented them. This was great in getting to know the sisters better!
This was my "Me in a bag" items. It was really hard to know what to put in. It took a lot of thought to get past thinking of a family picture, or a mother to 6, etc. and to actually think of just me and what I like or represents me!
The night was successful and Scott (the good husband he is) came back to the church to help me take down the paper lanterns from the hook and tables down. When I brought all the flowers back home, the girls were so excited to have them and put them up for Audrey's birthday party.
