Our summer project this year has been sewing and business! Alyse, Lexi, and Alaina are the business owners of "Sew Cute Sisters Denim Boutique." They accept donations of denim jeans in all sizes and conditions and then sew them into super cute stuff! It has been an awesome adventure for them. They created donation flyers and passed them out at clogging and mailed post cards to family and friends around. They have received a great amount and have been busy upcycling them into skirts, hand bags, library bags, scripture bags, and quilts. It has been a great learning experience and has taken their sewing ability to a whole new level! As their merchandise increases, we will be able to do some booths around next summer, but we wanted some way to start some sales now. Thus, the creation of Layla's Lemonade Stand. Layla was feeling a little too left out of things in the business world and I stumbled across some mighty cute Lemonade stands on pinterest. Scott and I built this cute stand out of free pallet wood and some scrap lumber in the shop. Layla painted it and the next evening she was in business with family over. It was so great out on the deck with our lighted trees of paradise and my ideas were flowing.... a week later, after advertising by email, she was officially opened to friends and local family. We had a slow start due to thunderstorms. We rushed everything inside, and danced in the rain to fun music! As the sun came out again, customers came throughout the evening and sales were good for Layla's Lemonade Stand and for the Sew Cute Sisters Denim Boutique!

Audrey loves the muffins and looks forward to being a future business partner! We all have had fun with this. We opened a few more nights and hope to get a few more in before business moves to Pocatello! These are supper talented girls saving up for college and missions one lemonade sale at a time!
