Oh how I love this man! He's the bestest of the best and I wish him a Happy Father's Day and thank him for being the man, the husband, and the father that he is!
The girls made these great ties for him in primary
(at least one of them looked my way!)
After church we sent Scott into Lexi's room for a quick rest while we got set up- we gave him the end of a skeen of yarn and closed the door. We then made a trail with the yarn ALL over the house and with paper clips attached cards, a ton of pictures the girls made for him, coupons, and suprises.
Reading a card from Alyse
don't worry- it's Cream Soda- a favorite treat
a candy bar poster from the girls
The girls LOVED making this but really wanted it to say "We will be ZERO good and make EXTRA trouble." haha
and the yarn led him to an icecream cake
and this was hanging in the hall closet from me
ate cake
it was sad to have Father's Day end early, I hope we spoiled him enough before 2!
P.S. this is what that ice cream cake looks like inside- yum....
How?
Bake 1 chocolate cake mix divided into 3 pans (round, square, whatever you like)
Freeze the cake layers
then assemble layers:
1. cake
2. choc frosting OR fudge icecream topping and carmel topping if you like
3. candy bars chunks, cookie crumbs, etc (I used butterfingers in this one)
4. ice cream (flavor of choice), let it set out for 5 minutes before assembling
and then repeat, repeat, and frost in chocolate frosting or coolwhip or both!
