We spent a beautiful August evening in Manitou Springs. It's a quaint little tourist town, just on the edge of Colorado Springs, full of awesome architecture and photo spots, odd shops, and fountains that produce carbonated water, which they say are safe to drink, just bring your own cup! We went for a scavenger hunt to find all 7 of the natural springs. We did find them and about 1 million runners, it happened to be the night before the Pike's Peak Marathon, oops!
the grumpy stoller rider, pretty cute even with the pout though!
our red cliffs with the Rocky Mountains behind them
Lexi filling the cup at 7-minute fountain
bravely takes a sip
and this is what we all thought!
Alyse takes a picture of Scott and I
the Navajo Geyser, which is in a store now... uhh... yucky sulfur taste!
a castle
and my little stink who won't look at the camera!
"No mom, we don't want to be in another picture, nor did we want to be in the first 100!"
p.s. none of us got sick from drinking from the springs :)
