Vacation- Part 10 ~ the end

We went for a walk from Shelley's house to the beach with Mike, Stacy, and Kristey's family.  I had slipped in the wet grass and fell down into a grassy ditch before we left the house and going down hill to the beach fell AGAIN, holding Audrey and landed in dog poop- DISGUSTING!

We left for home bright and early on July 31st. Well before bright and early actually. We caught the 4:55 a.m. Kingston ferry!  I didn't get to bed until after midnight, got up at 3:30 and got 6 kids and myself ready and packed and said really quick goodbyes to catch the ferry!

Being at a commute time, the ferry was full of work commuters who ride the ferry everyday.  We STUCK out to say the least.  Well, we always do, with 6 kids we are never quite incognito, but I mean we REALLY stuck out on that ferry!  Ferry rides are always fun though so we had to get out and explore and see the water.  Landon loved watching the other cars get on!  It was cold and we weren't outside for long.  After watching the loading until it finished and we left shore we walked to the other end to see where we were going for awhile.  I made it through Seattle traffic before the morning rush and all the way back to Pocatello by bedtime!  12 hour drive, 6 kids, 1 mom- whew!  (don't want to do that again for a while!)  The kids are awesome travelers; even Audrey is coming along as a Weideman traveler!  We had a wonderful trip but as always, its so good coming home and sleeping in our own beds!

Thanks Shelley for a wonderful reunion!!
The best part about being home was that the next day Scott unexpectedly got home from North Dakota :)
