Scott spent the summer working in North Dakota. When spring semester ended, he got the manly stuff done around the house & yard, packed, and left early the next day, which happened to be Mother's Day :( He got to come home for 2 weeks at the end of June/beginning of July and then he left for the rest of summer vacation. We have spent so much time apart, we should be use to it... and we are, but it's still so stinking hard to send him off each time. That last time... we'll it was tough! But it was the last time! Really, at least we hope!!! Scott's in his senior year of school then will have a job right here, coming home every day, for the rest of his working days! On Aug 1st the company he was working for, called in all their truck drivers and laid them all off. We got him home 19 days early. Could have used that money, but we enjoyed having him around none the less! He went back to work early for the bookstore, but we still had him every evening and weekends, without even homework to do!
I knew Scott was on his way home that Saturday, but didn't tell the kids since he wouldn't get here until very late and I wanted them to be able to sleep. They had a great surprise Sunday morning!
