another move story...

This has been the happiest and least stressful move... for me anyways!   Speaking for Scott I think it has also been the happiest, but the most stressful move!   When I left Colorado, all the cupboards/closets were decluttered and perfectly organized and some extra stuff was packed up, but the rest I left for the military movers.  Well, plans changed to a Do-It-Yourself move when we found out the military couldn't do it for 3 weeks after we needed it done.  So Scott litteraly pulled off a Do-It-Yourself move.  It was a one man move other than 2 friends that helped him load the piano, treadmill, barbie doll house, and the kid's kitchen and Scott's dad did fly out help him with the final loading and cleaning, and drove the UHaul to Idaho.  Not to mention, Scott also had to work full time, finish all squadron and Air Force out processing and classes, and his Anat & Phys class which included a term paper.  So as with every move, it moves along and then the end... the nitty gritty end... when your exhausted, running out of time, your left with random odds and ends, and you have more stuff than will fit...

(*to note* renting a UHaul trailer for pickup was almost as much as the cost of renting the biggest UHaul truck!  Thanks to a "creative" husband, he got it all here with out the trailer!)

Scott pulled in Friday evening, the 8th of April.  With Scott's family we got a big chunk of the UHaul unloaded.  Saturday morning, 30 elders showed up to help unload and had it done in 30 minutes!  It was an amazing sight to see so many strong men to help us!!!!!!!   Now that's a small town turn out!!  As the elders finished unloading, my family showed up to help us unpack it!!!  What a family welcome!   Thank you, thank you!!!

What a welcome!  By Saturday evening we had beds set up, beds made, clothes put away in the closets, the kitchen nearly together, and lots of unpacking done.  Thanks for a great start!!
