The first day, Alyse and I were up at 3:30 a.m. to get ready and be in Weiser by 5 am! Alyse was able to attend Weiser Stake's Moroni's Quest Trek!
Alyse with cousin Ana, Alyse in her trek family, and the market set up in the gym where they "purchased" supplies before heading to Banks, Idaho. It was great to see all the tribal costumes!
After pics and good byes, I got to visit with Weiser friends and then headed back to mom's for a nap and a quiet day. Grammy helped Layla make a Raggedy Ann quilt. Layla was in heaven! She has been dying for someone to teach her how to sew. I wished Grammy lived closer and she could enjoy the girls one at a time for projects :)
The next day we went to Stacy's for swimming in their new pool! We had fun and stayed cool :)
Eagle Island the next day with Kristey, Amanda, Stacy, Ashley, and Owen, was cold! The sun didn't come out and I couldn't get in the water more than ankle deep, but the kids did! They played in the sand lots too!
While chatting at Eagle Island, Kristey told us about "Cow & Pig." It's a game Kristey and Mike made up when they were little. The "cow" pushed the "pig" across the floor with their head. So back at Grammy's we got a reenactment! Funny!
Audrey had spent the day with Grammy. She is as "good as gold" when she is alone for Grammy. She get's Grammy's undivided attention and Grammy gets her undivided attention and so they are both happy! Audrey hasn't gotten much one-on-one attention being the youngest of six so some days with Grammy are so good for her! Grammy says Audrey sings ALL day when no one else is around :)
We had yummy taco salad and then built a campfire and Grammy made homemade marshmallow smores.
Saturday we went to visit Scott's family in Weiser. We made pizza then had a fun swim in their pool!
In the evening, we got Alyse back!! It was great to hear about her week! She came home tan, dirty, and happy! She had a great time with lots of adventures and spiritual experiences. Her cousins Isaac, Drake, and Ana went too. It was fun to hear them all talk about it. I'm so glad Alyse was able to go!
(more on Mornoni's Quest to come when we get her pictures back)
Sunday we went to church in Nampa and then left for Washington.... part 2 to come!
