The next phase was the family Reunion at Shelley's house in Kingston, Washington. Crowds of family with 21-25 people each day filled Shelley's! We had lots of fun exploring the Olympic Pennisula, beaching combing lots of different beaches, playing games, visiting, eating good food, sitting around the camp fire, crafting, and more! The kids and I slept in a tent in the back yard for the first 4 nights until the rain had nearly saturated the tent and sleeping bags! Then we got the open bedroom after Clinton and Jen's family flew home to Alabama and slept drier for the next week. Shelley's garage is set up for crafting, games, movies, dancing, and playing. Her yard is huge and green and flowery; she even built a cute bathroom in the back yard by the woods complete with warm running water and 3 live frogs! In the woods behind the house, Shelley cut back the trails to a super cute play house for the kids.
Our first adventure was to explore Fort Warden with Mom, Allen, Shelley, Sarah, Clinton, Jen, Cayden, Matthew, Carla, and my gang.
I didn't pack my camera around the bunkers, but we had fun exploring the structures and tunnels then enjoyed a windy picnic and the beach. It was Audrey's first experience with waves and she giggled when the water "chased" her back! The girls loved collecting every shell and pretty rock they could find!

Clinton found a small white triangle rock and showed it to Landon, saying, "Look, I found a shark's tooth!" Landon replied, "why would a shark have a rock for a tooth?"
