just a few BEFOREs to remember...

the striped bathroom, the gold window by the front door, the "lovely" chandelier, oak cabinets, popcorn ceiling... all straight from 1973!

After...

We resided the house with cement board siding and replaced all windows, molding, door knobs, and hinges.

kitchen (add bead and baton and command center, spray painted brass light yellow, and added backing to the island, windows to floor and molding treatment)

Dining Room- bead and baton and molding around windows (made a world of difference) and built in mantle shelf

Hall-upcycled chandelier, bead and baton, and huge frames

Entry Way- New front door and window, bead and baton, removed wall paper and painted dark gray accent wall

Living room- scrapped popcorn ceiling, added built in desk and mantel over fire place, replaced old wood stove with pellet stove, painted walls gray, added curtains, stained banisters dark oak.  (the first 3 pictures are after the popcorn scraping and before the re-texturing)

Master Bedroom-painted closet doors white from white and gold, new hardware, and added closet shelving and bars (Audrey's crib was just recently moved to Layla's hence the baby decor and the master bath is the biggest joke ever-the tub is tiny and the shower is about 4' high- never used it)

Landon and Alaina's room-painted gray, replaced light, added closet doors- barn style

Layla and Audrey's room-painted aqua, added ruffle curtains, made built in shelving in closet

Alyse and Lexi's room- scrapped pop corn ceiling, added crown molding, wide base board molding, and closet molding, painted dark aqua

Downstairs bath- scrapped pop corn ceiling, added crown molding, painted cabinets gray, replaced light fixture, refinished vanity light and medicine cabinet white, added towel hook and curtains

Half bath-  removed striped wall paper, painted, new toilet, new sink, new fixtures, cabinet, mirror, hardware, and molding.  Added tile floor and tile back splash.  (the longest bathroom remodel ever over two years to complete- I painted the molding around 3 a.m. the night before we left!)
Upstairs bath-nothing, it's still as 1970s today and when we arrived

We were 2 bathroom remodels and a layer of gray paint over the ugly yellow tan away from being done.   Well unless, we did a major renovation on the heating, switching from electric heat to central gas- or I could talk Scott into painting the wood ceiling white and replacing the rock entry, laminate kitchen, and carpeted dining room to wood floors- hah!  Ready to move on...  but this time we are starting 30 years newer and with beatiful ceiling texture and gray walls!!!!
