McCall Vacation

We didn't have very many days of Scott and I home together with the kids this summer, especially in a row.  In August, we lucked out with 6 days in a row together- AMAZING!  We spent 4 of those days in McCall, together, relaxing, and having fun!!!!!  It was spontaneous, we booked the hotel one afternoon, packed, and left the next morning.

Landon played in the sand for his first time.  He was a little leary of it at first, but not for long.  He tasted it, but only once (a day).   He would have loved the water, but he thought it was too cold to be in for very long- I agreed.  We would dig holes in the sand and poor water in there, which he loved to splash in.   He also loved wrecking sand castles!

We got ice cream cones at Ice Cream Alley, played in the park, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery.

Swimming and snorkeling, the girls show off their new Pez dispensers,  Alaina and Landon at the beach, and Alyse on the water front.

We spent the mornings walking around the town, sight seeing and visiting the little shops.  Then we would head to Ponderosa Beach Area for picnicking, swimming, and building sandcastles for the afternoon.  Then head back to the hotel for swimming and hot tubing and then go out to dinner in the evenings and then tuck warn out kids (and parents) into bed and watch some of the Olympics.  Landon loved the stroller rides and the beach time, but he didn't like the hotel, well other than breakfast!  He would cry every time we walked into the the room and didn't sleep very well there.   One day I ran into Linsey from Parma, a dear friend I grew up with!

It was great to have time together and not worry about work, school, callings, house work, etc. etc. etc.!!!!
