The Weiser Festival of Trees

It's impossible to get all 5 kids looking at the camera at the same time, but I tried!

We were the live nativity at a Young Women's activity.  The young women brought cookie plates and were going caroling.  However, we had arranged with the families earlier to not be home, not answer the door, or to rush out to their car saying they were late and couldn't listen.  At the 4th house, no one answered, yet again, but as they were headed back to the cars, the garage door opened and they could see the live nativity and the song "Let Him In" started.  Luke chapter 2 was read and asked if we were letting Him into our lives, and they were then invited in to eat their cookies and hot cocoa.  We thought the night successful, until later we found out the some of the young women didn't make the connection and just thought we had rude families in the ward that just didn't want carolers, so we had to explain it all out that it was all staged to give them the dejected feeling that Mary and Joseph must have felt as they searched for room in an inn.

Landon played perfectly baby Jesus.  He was calm and happy.  He would look up at me and look and smile and then to Scott and look and smile and watch the young women and then back at us.
