Summer Vacation: Point Defiance Zoo & Aqarium and Olympia, Washington

We spent a fun day at the Point Defiance Zoo & Aqarium (one of our favorite zoos)

Petting star fish and other sea animals

at the "beach" in the zoo

the shark aquarium

and then we were on to Olympia, Washington to visit my cousin Sharon and her family.

My favorite cousin Sharon and me

Sharon made the kids the most awesome PB&J lunch EVER!

Braden, Bronson, Alaina, Lexi, Logan, and Alyse eating there awesome PB&Js!

Sharon's perfect summer poem (that she wrote!)
Doesn't it sum up summer perfectly!

at Frye Cove, moving rocks to watch little crabs scramble about

and finding funny rocks, haha!

Lexi and Braden on our walk along the beach

and the kids together (except Landon)
Alyse, Logan, Braden, Lexi, Layla, Bronson, and Alaina

and thank Heavens for GPS on the Olympic Peninsula, for every road looks just like this and I can't find my way anywhere without it!

It was a very fun week, complete with late night visits and games, yummy food, and lots of baby snuggling!  Thanks Shelley and Sharon for your great hospitality and fun times!  Landon did great in the car, even on the way home with Scott driving the other car back and I had 5 kids in the van with me.  (They were all so exhausted, I really didn't hear a peep out of them!)

We managed a vacation with 5 kids and didn't lose one of them!  (haha!)
