Family Reunion 2014- Day 1 and Day 2

I do, I do exist...  I really promise I'll do better at keeping this blog updated!  I have some really good excuses for being MIA around here.  The number one is we are moving to Pocatello Aug 15th and that comes with a million and one things to do!  More on all that later.  For now, here is our Family Reunion 2014 pictures.  It was truly a blast!

Day 1
It was at 1000 Springs Resort just south of Hagerman, Idaho.  It was too close to the Snake River for camping with little ones, but the view was beautiful and it was surrounded with fun things to do!  We hadn't planned to go up until Friday, but got the itch to go up Thursday to join everyone else Thursday morning.  We cooked, packed, and loaded quickly... stopped in Boise for Scott to take a test and in Mountain Home to pick up the things we forgot and made it in time to set up camp and eat dinner.  And as always, half of these pictures are taken by Stacy :)

Enjoying brownies, dump trucks, exploring camp, and crafting with Aunt Carla

Grammy loves roasted marshmallows more than anyone I know!
(They have to big the BIG ones too with no chocolate or grahams any where near it!)

Day 2

At the camp ground was an awesome pool heated by natural hot springs.  The 93 degree was perfect for jumping in and staying all day!  We pretty much did other that meal times and game time.  Audrey was slow to warm up to the water, but eventually did and enjoyed it too.  We played on the log, water slides, diving boards, volley ball, train, and keep away (the always favorite).

After lunch, we played games that Kristey and Shelley's group arranged.  Lots of fun and competition!

Team 1 and Team 2

Water sponge race, egg race, 3 legged race, scavenger hunt, and Cheetos toss!
A camping neighbor girl joined us for the day, just to clarify for years later when we wonder who it is.  Her dad spent the weekend drunk and we treated her like one of the family.

Boys and slinkies,  Alyse caught in the act of soaking Uncle Bob, and the green heads ready for shaving cream and Cheetos!

Tossing the Cheetos at their heads.  Who gets the most to stick... Layla and Scott!

And does it ever end their in our family.... of course NOT!   Only our family would have a shaving cream and egg war!  Kristey and I started it and dragged Bob in.  Bob through the raw egg at Kristey.

Kristey, Bob, and I had to rinse off in the freezing cold river before we could go back to the pool.
Funny story on this dock that happened the next day.  Amanda, Sarah, and Mariah were sitting at the end enjoying the waves created by boats when bigger waves came and scarred all the spiders that were under the dock to up on the girls.... like 100 spiders and crawling up Amanda!   Mariah covered Amanda's eyes and swatted them off.   Sarah managed to keep her and her new phone from falling in the water and Scott and the girls who were further up the deck went running but Alaina had spiders on her back and going up her swim suit!  EEK!  I will never sit on any dock ever again!

We swam again, then enjoyed an awesome dinner cooked by Uncle Bob and Julie, Shelley, Carla, and Mom.  Then swam again until the pool closed at 10 and then sat around the camp fire until who knows how late!
