Lexi's Quidditch Field Book Share and hurt knee

Lexi's last of 12 book shares for 3rd grade - YEAH!   This 3rd grade reading teacher expects a lot of time/projects/homework out of her kids.  We are happy to be done with book share projects!

Lexi jumped of the playground at school and landed on her knees, scrapping one and really scrapping the other.  After school I checked it out, cleaned it, and re-bandaged it.  I never thought about a knee injury until the next day after school and violin, she said the back of her knee had been hurting.  When I looked, her one knee was extremely swollen.  An x-ray showed nothing broken, just a large amount of fluid.  

Lexi's 3rd grade field trip to Chandler Valley Ranch

I was able to go as a chaperon and enjoy the field trip too!  Lexi learned about agriculture and ranching.  She got to milk Maggie the cow, grind wheat feed a baby lamb, get lassoed, learn about rocks and horses, etc. and had a BBQ lunch.

They did a beautiful job with their solos and class pieces and are becoming awesome little violinists!

Jame's Graduation

My nephew James graduated from Parma High School Sat May 25th.  We were able to attend the graduation and party.  Yeah James!  Now we are anxiously awaiting his mission call!

The Last Day of School

May 30th was the girls' last day of school.  They brought their teachers fun candy notes.  Alaina brought home a cute owl cookie from her teacher.  It was a great year of school, great friends, great teachers, and awesome grades and learning.  Alyse and Lexi will move up to new schools this fall- Alyse in middle school and Lexi up to intermediate school.  And Layla can't wait till they go back to school because next time she gets to go with them!!
